Happy July!

There’s still time to reach your 2019 goals!

Hope you’re getting ready for a fun-filled July 4th (if you’re in the US, that is!) This year, I’m on Bloody Mary duty (making a killer build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, by the way!) for our neighbors before our community’s parade and festivities.

Since we’re on the topic of July — this means we’re halfway to 2020.  Whoa!

Think about that for a moment.

Think back to January and reflect on some of the awesome new year’s goals you set for yourself.

Did you reach them? Did you start them?

I get it. It’s difficult to get out of the daily grind to make changes and start new routines.

Even so, I want to share something really fascinating with you. While there’s no denying how challenging it can be to start working toward new goals, once we finally start, that’s when we’re at our happiest— it’s not necessarily when we achieve the goal.

And, this is why I always push my clients to be actively pursuing a goal. It’s not just about the end result. It’s about the process. Who we become in the process is the version of ourselves we’re meant to experience in this lifetime. We’re happy, engaged, and just on fire! And, this amplifies all areas of our life, too.

I’m telling you from the bottom of my heart, if you’re anxious, stressed, depressed, feel like you never have time, always feel like you’re stuck in the monotony of the workweek, or just can’t seem to make changes in your life – just pick one small goal and GET. IT. STARTED.  

Remember, an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion. So…time to get rolling, baby!

You don’t have to have everything all figured out but keep this in mind: if you change nothing, then nothing changes.  

Yes, we’re halfway to 2020, but don’t give up on 2019 yet. There’s still time to make it a truly great year!

So, let’s take that first step.

Grab a pen and paper. The following questions will get you started on your 2019 vision:

Specifically describe your top 1 to 2 goals in the following areas: Health; Career; Family; Romance; Finances; Creativity and free time

What new habits need to be made to make these goals realistic?

What is the smallest next step you can take? Don’t get lost in the big picture…keep it simple: what’s your first/next step?

What support do you need in order to stay aligned with these goals? Keep in mind the biggest indicator of future behavior is past behavior. How have choices worked out for you in the past? What has it cost you not to have a mentor/support in this area in the past? How would your life change with expert mentoring and/or support in this area?

How does your daily schedule need to change to make these goals a priority?

What is one bold decision you can make NOW to make this real?

What will happen if you don’t take action now?
